Fox Walkers | Week 25 | Plant Awareness

Last week at Fox Walkers was chock full of wild edible inspiration!  A major highlight was preparing delicious Big Leaf Maple Blossom fritters (we made them Gluten & Dairy Free - that’s actually coconut milk in the glass milk jug in the pics!).  They were delicious, especially with a dollop of Maple syrup on them.  Yum!  We’re truly grateful for the wild edible abundance this time of year.  Spring in the Pacific Northwest is so incredibly special!

The Fox Walkers have been soaking up the sights and sounds of Spring in their Owl Eyes and Deer Ears over the past couple weeks.  Here’s a bit about what they've been up to:

We wrapped up our Bird Language curriculum with an awareness of a bird voice that is becoming more and more common as we welcome Spring: Juvenile begging—  the sound of baby birds begging for food!  Have you heard any begging birds lately??  Baby owls may have hatched already, and perhaps hummingbirds too!  Keep those Deer Ears tuned in. . .
