Enjoying Clam Cove on a Sunny Day

SQUISH!

SQUISH!

Spring! What a full time of year, full of excitement and energy! We have been having a blast at Fox Walkers both in full sun and under the rains that are helping hydrate the forests that have been crying out for a drink.  We ran barefoot in the grass and walked through a stream.

We made cards from flowers we collected and pressed and tea collected from the forest over the school year for our beloved Mommas. We crawled under logs and climbed up cedar trees. We cleaned up trash with the help of our Crocodile friends Charlie and Charlene and looked for bugs and slugs some of which were identified in our field guides!

We made dams and fairy houses, fairy boats and fairy fires, invented games and practiced fishing. We told stories and learned from each other.  We practiced being scouts and being stewards of the land .  We played capture the flag (or Capture the Cougar’s Tail!) and really sunk into the ferns and blackberry, we quieted our minds and bodies and camouflaged our faces.  We also ran around and screamed because its Spring time and these little Foxes are feeling WILD!!!
