The Fire Keepers have been soaking up the magic and beauty of these sunny and crisp Autumn days over the past few weeks! They’ve been whittling digger-boppers and walking sticks, building fires, and using hot coals to make spoons out of wood. They’ve been sharpening their sense of smell by following scent trails and learning all about what it’s like to use their “Dog Nose” from our special guest instructor Leo (our dog!). They’ve been keeping their eyes peeled for spawning salmon, getting silly with games, parkour-ing off of rocks and logs, getting creative at Vine Maple Village, and sinking into a little bit of sit spot time. They’ve been connecting with the land, with the season, and with each other and it has been oh so fun. . .
